Team Parent Responsibilities/ Guide

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Following are typical tasks assigned by the Manager to the Team Parent
  • Coordinating uniform pick up

  • Helping the girls with issues, dugout management

  • Transporting and hanging the team banner

  • Making phone calls or sending emails as required

  • Setting a game day snack responsibility schedule

  • Coordinating the girls and paperwork for team picture day

  • Planning team parties

  • Picking up all trash after practices and games

  • Ensuring that at least one female over 18 years of age is in attendance for all practices and games.

  • Keeping track of the batting order and ensuring girls are ready for their turn to bat.

One person should not be expected to take on all these jobs themselves. It works well when one person serves as a "Team Mom" or "Team Dad" in order to coordinate these job assignments. It makes for a stronger team and provides the girls with a good example of teamwork functioning well.
